In 1945, Caffey and Silverman reported a new syndrome which they called infantile cortical hyperostosis, following an earlier report by Roske, 1930.
Two forms of the disease have been described, a classical mild infantile form (ICH) and a severe fatal form with prenatal onset. The classic form most commonly presents in infants within first six months of life ((Mishraet al., 2014)
