Foreign body ingestion and food bolus impaction are encountered commonly in clinical practice. We report a case of intentional ingestion of multiple hair clips and safety pins by a severe depression disorder patient. A young woman who has just been living in a boarding school swallowed hair clips and safety pin intentionally.

A 16-year-old female patient swallowing hair clips and safety pin 3 hours before admission while she was putting on the head scarf. From psychiatry department they diagnose patients with affective disorders of bipolar episodes of depression. The patient was asymptomatic, on examination vitals were stable.
